Shmi Skywalker was born on the planet Tatooine, a desert world on the outer rim of the galaxy. She grew up in the small town of Mos Espa, where her family had lived for generations. As a child, Shmi was fascinated by the stories of the Jedi Knights and the epic battles they fought against the Sith.
